Lisa King has been a professional photographer since 2005. A graduate of Kwantlen University, Lisa earned her Arts degree before focusing her talents and passion in photography. After successfully completing an intense accelerated program at Loyalist College, Lisa earned her diploma in Photojournalism and went to work in the field almost immediately as a freelance photographer for Canwest News Service. With almost four years in the industry, Lisa has shot cover stories and features for 24 Hours Vancouver, North Shore News, Richmond News, New Westminster Record, the Delta Optimist, the Abbotsford Times, the Burnaby Now, and the Hamilton Spectator.
Aside from working for various news agencies, Lisa has also accumulated a vast wealth of experience early in her years as a photographer by working on several major side projects. Shooting the wedding scene exclusively with Boda Studios and Reine and Jana Weddings, she has developed a keen eye for majestic photos in traditional, high end, and all manner of cultural settings. She has also managed to further perfect her abilities and add to her impressive resume by photographing many sporting events, corporate functions, portraits, and advertising shoots.
When not behind the lens, Lisa can be found either on the baseball diamond or taking in movies on the big screen. Lisa is also an unapologetic Metallica fan and can often be rocking out either in her car or the front row of a concert.
